“Reveal”: Bible Study Journal

~ I guess “Reveal” can come in like a small, warm soft whisper & leave like a stern, strong ox.

~Reveal definition: Make previously unknown or secret information known to others. To make known; disclose; to lay open to view; display or exhibit.

What does reveal mean in the Bible?

To disclose, discover or make known from heaven. God has been pleased to reveal his will to man. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. ~Romans 1:18

What is it called when God reveals things to you?

Revelation means to show us something we did not know or see before. In Christianity revelation refers to the way in which God reveals himself. Revelation does not only happen to saints or “holy people.” You are responsible for listening to God’s word in order to see how God is revealing himself to you.

How does God reveal himself to us?

We can know that God exists by thinking about it. God tells us about himself in the Bible, the Church, and Sacred Tradition. Jesus Christ is the fullest revelation of God to us.

How does the Holy Spirit reveal things to you?

The Holy Spirit teaches and illuminates the truth. I believe everybody has their own personal experience. Just like how I was lead to share and start this very Bible study. But look here we are. As speakers and (Preachers, and I am not) but as they share God’s word, as we gather in community to study scripture, in our personal study, in prayer, as we daily follow Christ, The Spirit of God leads us to the truth.

What do you think God is revealing for you today in your Life?

Let’s Keep Going, Let’s keep Revealing. I don’t know why I kept hearing: “Reveal” for several days in a row. What I do know, is I looked into it and researched it. I decided to listen and share some of what I have learned with my readers. For a deeper study further your research to find out what God is trying to reveal for you personally in your life.

“More Promises” Bible Study Journal

God owes no one anything. No explanations, No excuses. No help. God has no dept, no outstanding balance, no favors to return. God owes no man anything.

Which makes the fact that he gave us everything even more astounding. ~Max Lucado

Wow! How powerful is that right! As if that’s not powerful enough, we read in our Bible in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that who so ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

A few study questions:

1. If God owes us nothing, why do we question him when things go wrong?

2. Describe a time in your life when you felt, “Put in your place” by God.

Please read Psalms 73: 12-26

3. Does it sometimes seem that evil reaps more rewards than righteousness, as like in this Psalm? And if so why?

4. No matter how much we wonder or doubt in the end how do we come back, as this psalmist did, to God’s presence as our strength and joy?

5. Even when it seems like misfortune has a way of finding us, what are the promises that we do have?

More Promises in scripture:

Romans 8:35-39

“Can anything separate us us from the love Christ has for us? Can troubles or problems or sufferings or hunger or nakedness or danger or violent death?”

As it is written in the scriptures: “For you are in danger of death all the time. People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed.” “But in all these things we have full victory through God who showed his love for us. Yes I am sure that neither death, nor life nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

6. Does it altar your view of difficulties to know that God’s love is constant through them? and if so, In what ways?

7. Do you think God sometimes seems far away when times are really tough? Why?

8.When it comes to removing difficulties from our lives daily, if God is not going to remove them, Do you think it is enough that He promises to be with us through them?

Close Out Verse:

Please read 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Please last but not least, if you would like, please take the time to journal your thoughts here.

A few examples: ” I need reassurance of God’s presence in these areas of my life.”

“Do you think as some people say, that we wouldn’t appreciate the good if we didn’t have the bad?”

“Describe a time when you were aware of God’s presence in your life.”

Cheers,

To “More Promises”

Chrissy

“Roots” Bible Study Journal

“Roots” definition: Noun; Pleural Noun

The part of the plant which attaches it to the ground or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant via numerous branches and fibers.

The word “Root” comes from the Latin word radix, which means a starting point.

The root of a word is the core part that contains the word’s fundamental meaning.

Roots serves as a powerful metaphor for foundational spiritual truths. They represent the underlying faith and love that support spiritual growth and resilience.

The Bible uses roots as an analogy of our strength in our faith.

How are your roots, spiritually? How can you apply this in your life?

The Bible verse Colossians 2:7 mentions roots and faith and says to keep your roots deep in Christ and build your life on Him.

~Colossians 2:6-7 ” Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught and always be thankful.”

Here are more scriptures with the word “roots” in the verses:

Proverbs 12:3 “A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous cannot be moved.”

Jeremiah 17:8 ” He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; it’s leaves green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Job 19-28-29 “If you say How we will hound him, since the root of the trouble lies in him you should fear the sword yourselves; for wrath will bring punishment by the sword, and then you will know that there is judgement.”

In the story The Branch from Jesse

Isaiah 11:1-3 “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; From his roots a branch will bear fruit. The spirit of the Lord will rest on him- The spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord- and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.

Bible Study Questions:

1. How are your “roots” spiritually? Are you feeding them? Are you nourishing your spiritual branches?

2. How are you planted?

3. Please Read Proverbs12:3 again; How and where can you apply this promise to your life?

4. How can you apply Colossians 2:1-5 to your life?

More Bible Study Verses to read:

Colossians 2:6-7

Ephesians 3:17-19

Romans 10:17

Matthew 13:5-6

Psalm 1:2-3

“I Need Jesus, & Cookies” Bible Study Journal

Have you ever felt like that?

I know not all our days are perfect. Somedays are just hard. Thats why it’s important to keep Faith. It’s important, to eat. To be Spiritually fed. To have God be an avid part of our daily walk. It is imperative not to go around hungry.

Right now, I don’t even know yet, how My Husbands Day at work has been. I’m not sure yet, how both of Our Son’s are right now in this moment, or how their day has been. I don’t know how My Mama will be doing tomorrow. I do not know how My Brothers will be doing tomorrow. I do know, it matters to me. No matter how it turns out today, Jesus, & Cookies will for sure make it better either way. Just like Our Faith. It may be a hard day, that’s the importance spiritually: To Get Fed, The Good Stuff. It is not to say bad things will not happen, it’s having the Faith in what good, will come from the situation. It is having Faith that God will be with us, during our tribulations. It’s holding onto Faith and Hope, knowing that God goes before us every step of the way. Thank You Jesus!

Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation. You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.

Give It to God, go bake, & while we’re at it: Get into God’s Word, Take time. Have A Conversation with God, Have Faith, & Don’t forget to get you some cookies, either way, it’s going to make it better.

“I need Jesus and cookies”

❤️
